Under the 300's Hood
There are two options of engines in the Chrysler 300. The 3.6-liter engine with 292 horsepower and 260 lb-ft delivers power to the car that makes the ride smooth and can go zero to 60 mph in 6.8 seconds. The transmission is an eight-speed automatic that has smart downshift capabilities. The next level up 5.7-liter HEMI V-8 engine comes with a four-cylinder that delivers 363 horsepower and 394 lb.-ft. of torque. This engine can go zero to 60 mph in less than six seconds. Both are standard with rear-wheel drive, but there is an option for AWD. When the 300 is in Sport mode it transforms and the shift times are reduced from 400 milliseconds to 250 milliseconds.
