Power and Performance of the Wrangler Rubicon 392

Brought to you by Newark CDJR

For years now, the Jeep Wrangler has been an icon on and off the road. The entire 2021 Wrangler lineup has set itself apart from years past, and that was before Jeep decided to drop a V8 engine under the hood! That's right; Jeep has made the long-awaited decision to make the most powerful Wrangler ever, the Wrangler Rubicon 392! So what does this mean? It means you get the most capable Wrangler, with upgraded off-road features, combined with the power of a 6.2L V8 HEMI! Continue reading below to learn more about what makes this all-new Wrangler such an exciting announcement.

Exactly How Powerful is the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 392?

Very powerful! The 392 cubic-inch 6.2L V8 HEMI engine is rated to produce an exhilarating 470 horsepower and 470 lb-ft of torque. To clear any confusion, the Wrangler's with the 3.6L V6 has a 0-60 time of six seconds. The Rubicon 392 does this in a quick 4.5 seconds! To make things even better, the engine is mated to a TorqueFlite eight-speed automatic transmission with steering-wheel-mounted paddle shifters to deliver the smoothest shifts possible, providing drivers with the best acceleration and control. Also contributing to the 392's excitement is the exclusive Tri-Level Hydro-Guide air intake system with an active hood scoop. This system is capable of channeling up to fifteen gallons of water away from the engine each minute. If you're wondering what happens when the hood scoop is completely obscured, Jeep thought of that and added a secondary air path built into the hood to still provide top speed.

2021 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 392 off-road capability

Some off-road enthusiasts might be thinking about what the Rubicon 392 has to offer them when they're on the trails. Well, here you go! Jeep took the Wrangler's extensive off-road capability to the next level with the Rubicon 392. This was done by adding greater approach and departure angles, more suspension articulation, and more water fording capability. A 2-inch factory lift, heavy-duty brakes, upgraded frame rails, and FOX high-performance shocks help improve the off-road capability, durability, and handling. Other off-roading features worth mentioning are the Selec-Trac two-speed transfer case with intuitive four-wheel drive, wide track Dana 44 axles with an electronic front sway bar disconnect Tru-Loc electronic locking differentials. The Wrangler Rubicon 392 offers a 48:1 crawl ratio and 32.5 inches of water fording.
