2019 Dodge Challenger Lineup Revealed

2019 debuts the most commanding SRT Hellcat roster ever fashioned, class-specific AWD technology, and a blistering-fast Challenger SRT incarnation called the Widebody. The 2019 model year is introducing the most powerful Hellcat model ever created -- the SRT Hellcat Redeye, with a jaw-dropping quarter-mile elapsed time of 10.8 seconds at 131 mph!

The Fresh Models of 2019

The new 2019 Challenger line races right out of the gate with eight model levels reaching from the foundational SXT to the debut of the SRT Hellcat Redeye model! Let's get into each one a bit more so you can focus your search!

The SXT model is powered by the 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 engine and the 8-speed TorqueFlite automatic transmission. The 2019 SXT RWD model's starting MSRP is $27,295, while the AWD version would be $30,295. The AWD version has a class-exclusive front-axle disconnect that it shares with the GT AWD version.

The new Challenger GT AWD rocks a 305-horsepower Pentastar V-6 engine and has an MSRP of $32,995, and both drivetrain setups contain items such as a standard hood with scoop, a performance-tuned suspension, steering, a bigger rear stabilizer bar, paddle shifters, as well as Houndstooth seats made of cloth.

The rear-wheel drive R/T trim model brings in the power with a HEMI 5.7-L V8 engine that hefts 375-hp and 410 lb-ft of torque. This powerplant can have one of two transmission elections, the 8-speed automatic TorqueFlite, or a manual 6-speed. For 2019, it added augmented springs, stabilizer bars, an election for the Performance Plus Package, Houndstooth-pattern sport seats, and Bilstein shock absorbers. MSRP is set at $34,100 for 2019.

The R/T Scat Pack model provides an incredible 392 HEMI V-8 with 485 horsepower and 475 lb.-ft. of torque, lurking below a new twin-snorkel hood, all at under $40,000 MSRP. Also, there's a 'Widebody Package' found for 2019 that makes it 3.5 inches wider, has a menacing treatment on the front bumper and rear spoiler, as well as includes 20" Pirelli P305/35ZR20 tires.

The dual-snorkel hood SRT Hellcat model is more robust than any of its predecessors, can be ordered without a heavy rear seat, and certainly is spoiling for a race! It rocks popular features like an adaptive suspension, electric power steering, Brembo brakes, a launch control system that has been tuned for 2019, SRT Performance Pages, Driving Modes, as well as a leather-clad, flat-bottom steering wheel. At $5,000 less than in previous years, it's certainly a consideration to undertake, with its MSRP pricing beginning at $58,650.

The SRT Hellcat Redeye model rounds out the muscle with a supercharged HEMI 6.2-L V8 (the same engine as the Demon model from 2018) that harvests an amazing 797 horsepower and 707 pound-feet of torque. It has a standard SRT "Power Chiller" cooling system, an "Air Catcher" headlamp on the driver's side, and two dual-stage fuel pumps. With stats like 0-60 miles per hour in under 3.4 seconds, a 10.8 second quarter-mile time, and a new top speed of 203 mph, the Redeye is the model to keep your eye on (if you can)!
